Sony PS Plus July 2026 Free Games Are Now Live With New Titles Ready to Download Today

Sony PS Plus July 2026 – Sony has announced the PlayStation Plus Essential free games for July 2026, and subscribers will receive Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, For the King II, and CrossCode. The new monthly lineup becomes available on Tuesday, July 7, giving PlayStation Plus Essential members three different genres to enjoy, from a blockbuster first-person shooter to a co-op RPG and a retro-inspired action adventure. Members who claim the games during the availability window can keep them in their library as long as their PlayStation Plus subscription remains active.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare III Leads July’s Free Games

The headline title this month is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, released in 2023. The game’s single-player campaign was met with mixed reviews, but the game is one of the biggest launches in the franchise, thanks to its competitive multiplayer and Zombies mode. The story follows Task Force 141 on a mission to prevent a world war. Multiplayer features a wide range of maps, weapons, and progression systems. With rumors of another Modern Warfare game coming sometime in 2026, this month’s giveaway is a chance for subscribers to revisit the series.

Joining it is For the King II, a turn-based RPG that mixes roguelike mechanics with tabletop-inspired gameplay. Players can tackle the adventure solo or with up to four players in online co-op as they battle against Queen Rosomon’s oppressive rule across the kingdom of Fahrul. The campaign is divided into seven adventures and introduces a tactical battle grid that places greater importance on positioning during combat.

The third title, CrossCode, is considered one of the standout indie action RPGs of recent years. Featuring 16-bit-inspired visuals, fast combat, challenging Zelda-style dungeons, and more than 100 quests, the game offers between 30 and 80 hours of gameplay. It also includes over 120 enemy types and seven major dungeons, making it the longest experience in this month’s lineup.

Important Dates, Pricing, and Member Benefits

Subscribers can begin claiming the July games from July 7, which is also the final day to add June’s free titles—Grounded: Fully Yoked Edition, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, and Warhammer 40,000: Darktide—to their libraries. Those games will no longer be available once the July lineup goes live.

PlayStation Plus Essential continues to include online multiplayer access, monthly PS4 and PS5 games, cloud storage for saved data, and exclusive PlayStation Store discounts. Following Sony’s recent pricing update, the service costs $10.99 per month, $27.99 for three months, or $79.99 annually.

Sony has not yet revealed the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games for July 2026, with that announcement expected later this month. Until then, Essential subscribers can look forward to a strong monthly lineup led by one of the biggest shooters of the past few years alongside two well-reviewed RPG experiences.
