House of the Dragon Season 3 Episode 5 reveals that Rhaenyra Targaryen’s grip on the Iron Throne is genuinely at risk as Ormund Hightower initiates a deliberate attempt to overthrow her rule. Ormund suggests a possible challenger to Rhaenyra’s claim in Prince Daeron Targaryen, but Aegon II and Aemond Targaryen are busy with injuries and personal feuds.
