Battlefield 6 Season 4 Update Introduces – The Battlefield 6 Season 4 Naval Warfare update will be released on July 21, 2026 and will be the biggest seasonal update to the game since its launch. It was developed by Battlefield Studios and published by Electronic Arts. The new season includes massive naval combat, new vehicles, weapons, maps and big gameplay additions focused around fighting on the land, at sea and in the air.

The map takes place in the Pacific and features islands, large expanses of open water, aircraft carriers and huge air combat zones. Players can engage in combined-arms warfare with infantry, boats, jets, helicopters and ground vehicles.
New Naval Combat Features and Expansion of the Battlefield
Season 4 sees the Dynamic Wave System change the way naval combat works, impacting how boats move, aim and how visible they are. Players can use waves as natural cover to flank opponents and create new tactical strategies in water-based fights.
We also have two new naval vehicles coming on board, the RCB-90 Patrol Boat and the 7.7m NSW RHIB. These vehicles let squads dominate coastlines, start attacks and support teammates in massive multiplayer battles.

Season 4 also brings four new weapons to the arsenal, including a new sniper rifle. A new Ranked Battle Royale season is coming soon, with new rewards and new progression challenges for competitive players.
Top Gun Partnership Wake Island Return
One of the biggest draws of Battlefield 6 Season 4 is the Top Gun collaboration, coming August 18, 2026. The crossover includes iconic aircraft such as the F/A-18 Super Hornet and F-14 Tomcat. Players can also take on characters from the movies including Rooster, Bob and Warlock with voice work from the original actors.
The collaboration will feature Top Gun-themed character skins and cosmetics. Battlefield REDSEC will also include a brand new Gauntlet mission dedicated to jet dogfights.
Then later in the season, Wake Island comes back with new visuals, bigger combat areas, and support for modern naval warfare features. The last phase, Tidal Strike, comes on September 15, 2026, with naval-themed challenges and rewards.
Season 4 will also see the introduction of Spectator Mode and Portal Custom Lobby support, expanding the community experience and custom gameplay options.
