Soulframe TennoCon Announcements Reveal Every New Feature Trailer and Gameplay Update

TennoCon 2026 delivered its biggest announcements yet as Digital Extremes unveiled the long-awaited Warframe: Tau expansion, and shared new gameplay details for Soulframe’s Warsongs update. The showcase confirmed that Warframe players will finally travel beyond the Origin System into the Tau Star Chart later in 2026, while Soulframe continues expanding its fantasy world with new story content, mounts, and a corruption-based progression system.

The annual event celebrated 11 years of TennoCon and drew thousands of attendees in London, Ontario, while millions more watched online. Digital Extremes also stated that Warframe has surpassed 85 million registered players, continuing the game’s expansion over a decade after its debut in 2013. In addition to major expansions, the studio announced upcoming updates, community events, and collaborations for its two live-service titles.

Warframe: Tau Brings New Star Chart And Big Story

The biggest reveal was Warframe: Tau which the developers described as the biggest evolution in the game’s history. Tau isn’t just another area, it is a whole new Star Chart with new planets, storylines, enemies, and exploration zones. Players will travel to Fornax, a ring city created by the Sentients, perpetually shrouded by a blanket of black rain. Here, criminal factions fight for control under the rule of a new villain, The Hunra.

A brand-new Chimera Warframe named Brysko also takes center stage. Revived by Albrecht Entrati and voiced by Matt Mercer, Brysko fights using brass knuckles, an Exalted revolver, and explosive playing cards while infiltrating The Hunra’s organization. Players can also experience Warframe’s first card mini-game, Portau, explore casinos and docks across Fornax, and face the newly introduced Fornax Drowners enemy faction. Before Tau launches later this year, players will receive the Iceblade of Narin update, introducing the 66th Warframe, Citrine Prime Access, an Orokin Vessel, and additional gameplay improvements.

Soulframe Warsongs Expands Story, Combat, Exploration

Digital Extremes also shared fresh details about Soulframe’s Warsongs update, which is expected to launch “Fallish” while the game remains in closed beta. The new story quest explores the player’s tragic childhood, explains the origin of the Envoy’s blue-armed powers, and offers a closer look at how the mysterious Ode live among the clouds.

The update introduces the Vadagar Pact, a corruption-based class featuring Virtues centered on Wrath, Doom, and Death, giving players a darker progression path. There are also new mounts; giant wolf and corrupted horse mounts will be added, with more mount types coming in future updates. Soulframe’s unique vegan fishing system lets players catch and release fish while learning about wildlife, reinforcing the game’s emphasis on nature and restoration. Digital Extremes also confirmed that there is still no release date for Soulframe 1.0 and that development continues with feedback from the community and regular Preludes updates.
