New Cyberpunk 2077 Game Reveals First Gameplay and Major New Features

Cyberpunk 2077 is back in the spotlight as its tabletop universe continues to grow ahead of the next mainline video game. Publisher Go On Board has released a new eight-minute unboxing video showcasing the All-In edition of Cyberpunk 2077: The Board Game, while the extended late-pledge preorder remains open until July 20. The update arrives as the nearly six-year-old game enjoys renewed popularity through recent expansions, crossover events, and new platform releases.

Board Game Brings Night City to the Table

The crowdfunding campaign for Cyberpunk 2077: The Board Game has already raised $11.8 million from more than 32,000 backers, making it one of the biggest tabletop gaming projects in the genre. The All-In edition includes the Phantom Liberty, Trauma Team, Edgerunners, and Johnny Silverhand & NCPD expansions, along with a Terrain Pack, Stretch Goals box, mission cards, character boards, room tiles, unpainted miniatures, and additional gameplay accessories.

The board game is designed to let players experience new stories set in Night City while they wait for CD Projekt Red’s next Cyberpunk title. The studio has already confirmed another Cyberpunk game is in development, although The Witcher 4 remains its primary focus, meaning the next video game is still several years away.

Cyberpunk Franchise Continues Growing Beyond the Game

Cyberpunk 2077 has transformed dramatically since its troubled 2020 launch. It did manage to redeem itself, thanks to years of updates along with the Phantom Liberty expansion, and the game still looks great in 2026. The franchise has also expanded with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, returning for a second season this year, and there’s also a Cyberpunk Trading Card Game on the way.

The recent momentum continues with the July 14 launch of the Cyberpunk 2077 × Apex Legends crossover, which brought Night City-themed maps, character skins, Cyberware abilities and the talking Skippy weapon. Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is now on Nintendo Switch 2 and includes exclusive motion controls, gyro aiming, touchscreen support, and mouse controls. Together, these releases show CD Projekt Red is keeping the Cyberpunk universe active across multiple platforms while fans wait for the franchise’s next major chapter.
