Battlefield 6 Naval Combat Details Revealed in New Content
Season 4 is all about big fights on land, sea, and air and Tsuru Reef is Battlefield 6’s biggest map. The map takes place on a Pacific archipelago with beaches, cliffs, vegetation, luxury bungalows and open water, and has infantry, aircraft, ground vehicles and naval units all participating in the same fight.
The update adds the RCB-90 Patrol Boat for coastal assaults, and the 7.7m NSW RHIB, a fast transport boat with a mounted machine gun. Players also get three new weapons – the BROD 3 carbine, EF88 assault rifle and VSSM designated marksman rifle – as well as new attachments such as the Extended Barrel and the 1P86 LPVO optic.
Season 4 Battle Pass launches with fresh soldier skins, weapon packages, XP boosts, themed rewards, and perks for Battlefield Pro players like instant unlocks, tier skips, and a 5% XP boost.
Patch Improves Gameplay, AI and Ranked Battle Royale Modes
Update 1.4.1.0 includes extensive gameplay improvements as well as new content. Animations for swimming, underwater visibility and water physics have been improved, players can now drag and revive teammates in water and spawn on squadmates swimming in deep water. Bullets now lose damage in water, and a few gadgets have been adjusted for water combat.
The update also enhances helicopter rotor wash, tank aiming, vehicle-water interactions, UI elements, Portal tools, audio and adds support for NVIDIA DLSS Multi Frame Generation. AI-controlled soldiers can swim to shore, boat around, answer pickup requests, and not take every boat at the start of a match.
REDSEC also gets a new season of Ranked Battle Royale, including competitive leaderboards, permanent rewards, improved RP calculations, and balance changes to vehicles and the M320A1 grenade launcher. Battlefield 6 Update 1.4.1.0 is now live on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Season 4 content will become available later on July 21.
